About.

Tenacious. Solution-oriented. Stubborn.

My name is Jen, and I'm an expert at finding a way to make things happen, with a smile on my face and my two thumbs thrown all the way up.

I am a life-loving, marathon-running, sometimes-boxing optimist living in Charleston, S.C.

...and some might call the thumbs up my signature pose.

I like to throw it when I'm running marathons...

...or traveling the country and going to baseball games...

...even when I'm hanging out with my friends...

...and definitely post interview at Miss Virginia.

And why not? The thumbs-up is the universal sign that everything is a-ok. And two thumbs up? That's the universal sign that life is pretty awesome.

I believe that we each create our own reality by always telling ourselves yes.

By manufacturing our own positivity, we create possibility. And by creating possibility, literally nothing is out of our reach.

Not Fast, Not Last exists to share my story of tenacity with you. I am really slow, I fail a whole lot, but I operate from the belief that the only thing that can stop me from achieving my dreams is me. Hopefully, in sharing my story, I can inspire you to feel the same way in your own life.

Please feel free to contact me at jengilbert11@gmail.com. I'd love to hear from you!
